About Us:

Ricky Hu

Ricky is a PGY-1 Internal Medicine resident at UBC. He completed a MASc in Biomedical Engineering and BASc in Engineering Physics and Math at UBC. He has 10+ years of software engineering experience, publishing work in machine learning in ultrasound.

Prashant Pandey

Prashant is a PhD Vanier Scholar in Biomedical Engineering at UBC, working on ultrasound-based orthopaedic surgical navigation with machine learning. He previously completed a MASc developing real-time ultrasound bone segmentation for pelvic fractures.

Zoe Hu

Zoe is a PGY-2 Radiology resident at Queen's University, with research work in 3D machine learning segmentation of ultrasound imaging. She has a BSc in computer science at McGill and worked as a software engineering intern at Quora and Facebook.

Olivia Yau

Olivia is a PGY-1 Family Medicine resident at UBC, previously completing a MSc in experimental medicine at Queen's University. She has worked in developing novel echocardiography contrast methods for atherosclerosis therapy.

Rohit Singla

Rohit is a 6th year MD/PhD at UBC, working on automated anlaysis of renal ultrasound in his PhD. He previously completed a MASc in Biomedical Engineering at UBC with work in developing augmented reality for surgical guidance.

Mishal Ashraf

Mishal is a MASc student in Biomedical Engineering at UBC. His research focuses on developing hardware and software for the acquisition and analysis of high-dimensional microscopy data with applications in cardiac electrophysiology research.

Caroline Kim

Caroline is a 2nd year medical student at UBC, previously completing a BASc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Engineering at Queen's University. She has previously worked on developing classification models using MEG.

Frank Chen

Frank is a 2nd year medical student at Queen's University, previously completing a BSc in Health Science at McMaster University. Frank’s research interests lie in precision medicine using omics and medical imaging data for pancreatic cancer.

Aidan Sanders

Aidan is a 2nd year medical student at Queen's University, previously completing two years of computer science and mathematics at Queen's as part of the Queen’s Accelerated Route to Medical School program. His research focuses on deriving and analyzing quantitative metrics that reflect tissue architecture and nuclear disorder in bladder cancer.
